Dear Prime Minister Barzani, The Committee to Protect Journalists would like to bring to your attention the deterioration of press freedom in Kurdistan. Thank you for your letter and report on Genital mutilation of Southern Kurdistan of 12 April 2009 to the President of the European Commission who has requested me to reply on his behalf.
